Our AG® Fundamentals class includes zero-compression inversions, suspended stretching and FUN! The movement is broken down incrementally, and is recommended for first timers and easy riders to intermediate level. Here you will discover the power, excitement and pure joy of moving freely in all directions of open space.  You will also learn the  ins and outs of the Harrison AntiGravity® Hammock, the principles of the technique and the philosophy of AntiGravity® Yoga.

Your AntiGravity® Fitness Instructor  is carefully  chosen and certified to share the AntiGravity technique with you.  At least 4 FUNdamentals sessions are required before attending any AntiGravity® Aerial Yoga I/II or AntiGravity® Suspension Fitness I/II sessions.

Aerial Yoga is a combination of traditional yoga poses that are done on the floor, and postures that are practiced using a soft material called a “Hammock” suspended at waist height.  This is the same type of fabric that one could see being used in shows with aerialists like Cirque Du Soleil and AntiGravity® Theater.  The difference in Aerial Yoga is our body weight is distributed between the floor and the hammock, and is designed to access yoga poses in new and exciting ways while challenging the body, mind, and spirit.  Here you will learn the basic fundamental yoga positions with the Hammock to increase flexibility, strength and one’s overall health.  Utilizing the Hammock either as a stabilizer or full body support, you will find freedom to move in all dimensions of space.

Aerial Yoga I / II requires a minimum of at least 4 FUNdamentals classes.  Aerial Yoga expands on the basic body mechanics and movement sequences such as Sun Salutation Series and Abs with an AntiGravity® spin.  Basic Decompression Inversions are also taught with gentle meditations in the hammock.

If you love our FUNdamentals class than you will love the challenge of Aerial Yoga I /II.  Aerial Yoga  builds on the fundamental postures, allowing one to gain more flexibility in the spine, mind/body connection, trust in the Hammock, and strengthen proprioceptors (sense of self).  Still suspending the Hammock at waist height, one will learn new and challenging series and postures ranging from complex strengthening and flexibility movements, new inversions as well as swinging series while enjoying the feeling of flight and having fun.

Our Restorative Yoga class is the yummy, gentle, healing side of Antigravity’s Aerial Yoga.  This powerful method focuses the mind through powerful visualizations as it floats the body through a series of gentle gyro-kinetic motions, deeply opening the entire spine, hips, and connective tissues of the body.  The technique features full body inversions, alongside various forms of flowing spinal traction.  It offers accessibility to students with physical limitations, but is loved by all as a portal into deeper spinal flexibility, and mind/body connection.  Taught in a sequential flow to music, the class incorporates levitating meditation, zero-compression inversions, supported sun salutations, joint opening poses, and a floating Sivas Ana.  Working from different hammock heights allows for the gentle opening of the hips and spine.  One will walk away feeling relaxed and stress free after a long day.

Mommy and Me classes are offered for children ages 4-10 to learn about Aerial Yoga in a new, Fun, exciting way.  This class helps your child to build strength, flexibility, body awareness, self-discipline, and is a great way to spend time with your little one.

 

Mommy and Me classes allow children to learn simple Aerial Yoga postures like Sun Salutations, inversions, and strengthen their arms and hand grip in fun balances suspending in the Hammock under the Parent’s watchful eye.  Surrounded by a positive and encouraging environment, giggles will fill the room as your child enjoys the feeling of flight like a playful pixie or a soaring superhero, and hanging upside down like a monkey.  Don’t worry Daddies, you are welcome to join us too.

Suspension Fitness elevates your workout to a new level, where you will burn more calories and turn your routine upside down.  Still combining traditional yoga poses and postures using the Hammock suspended at waist height; Suspension Fitness tests and challenges your strength and stamina.  Suspension Fitness combines methods of aerial art, fitness, dance, and gymnastics to provide a full body workout while increasing your kinesthetic awareness for better agility, strengthening your core, elongating your muscles, and still having fun.  Be ready to lift your spirits by flipping, learning tricks and dismounts that will make you feel like you are a part of Cirque Du Soleil while toning and getting a low-impact cardiovascular workout.
