Sports massage therapy is usually geared toward athletes of every kind, focusing on areas of the body that are stressed and overworked from repetitive aggressive movements.  Sports massage uses specific application of massage techniques along with hydrotherapy protocols, range of motion/flexibility techniques and strength-training principles utilized to achieve a specific goal when treating an athlete.  It helps sooth muscles, promotes flexibility, reduces fatigue, improves endurance, helps prevent injuries and prepares the athlete’s body for optimal performance pre and post workout.
